MAPS: Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Strategies is an annual event organized and presented by the Communications Committee of the Prince William County–Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce.
Member marketing and advertising professionals are invited to present the fundamentals of marketing to the Chamber’s member businesses and organizations as well as the community at large at a morning seminar. This website is intended as a supplement to the annual MAPS seminar.
Included are lists of resources and links to other sites that can provide additional information, as well as forms to download. A PowerPoint presentation of the entire seminar is also included.
This year’s marketing seminar will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006, at Verizon Auditorium on the Prince William campus of George Mason University located at 10900 University Blvd., Manassas, Virginia.
Panelists Sherri Arnaiz from Virginia Systems, Inc.; Debbie Brunner from Custom Designers, Inc.; Pauline Elmore from PR Works, LLC; Barbara Kreisler from ImPrint, LLC and Joan Lopacki from The Harman Group, LLC take you through the process of determining the marketing goals for a real-life small business, Richardson Technologies. See how they developed strategies for determining and reaching the target audience and selecting marketing, advertising and PR vehicles to help the business reach its marketing goals. Then hear from business owner Vlad Jirinec about the results of his efforts.
All attendees received a free 2006-2007 local Media Guide printed by FedEx Kinko’s listing contact information for most local media outlets, as well as continental breakfast courtesy of Kitchen Gourmet & A Company of Caterers.
