Join the fight to save babies!
The March of Dimes and the Prince William WalkAmerica Committee invite you to join their fight to save babies� lives by walking and raising much-needed funds on Sunday, April 30, 2000 at Osbourn High School. If your business or organization is interested in forming a team to walk, please call Patty Tracy at the Chamber, 703-368-6600 ext. 14. If you are an individual wanting to walk, but don�t have a team, consider joining the PWC-GM Chamber staff team! Have a Ball with Strikes for S.E.R.V.E.
Strikes for SERVE is a fundraising event in support of SERVE, Inc. a nonprofit organization based in Manassas which works to strengthen our community through comprehensive programs that support basic human needs and promote self-sufficiency. All money raised through the bowl-a-thon goes directly to support SERVE�s community service programs. The Bowl-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2000, at 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. at Bowl America located on Mathis Avenue. For more information please call 703-368-5920.
The Sound of Music
The NOVA/Manassas Community Orchestra will be performing at the Grace United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 4, 2000. Go with family and friends to hear featured pieces by Mozart and Beethoven. Ballet, Modern Dance; A Spring Gala
Manassas Dance Company will perform at Metz Junior High School on Sunday, March 12, 2000. See the beauty of ballet and modern dance, while hearing music from the Prince William Symphony. Linton Hall High School Gala
On Saturday, March 11th come to an event where Manassas becomes Vegas. For only $25 you get Appetizers, Dinner, Dessert, $10,000 in casino dollars and a night to remember. Linton Hall High School is putting on a Gala featuring a casino and silent auction at the Best Western Manassas, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Auction items include a long weekend at a St. Simons Beach cottage; an American Girl Samantha doll, furniture, and outfits; and a family ski weekend at Bryce. The Prince William County Arts Council of the Prince William County Park Authority will be sponsoring a Fundraising workshop for non-profit organizations on Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at 7 p.m. at the Park Authority Headquarters. The workshop will be given by Stella Olinger, Arts Council Liaison, and will cover various aspects of fundraising. Topics will include: the role of the board, fundraising research, planning fundraising campaigns and much more.
