Recent PWC-GM Chamber of Commerce Events CHAMBER HITS 'GRAND SLAM' OF MEMBERSHIP!
What could be more natural than the teaming of business and sports? The Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce had an overwhelming response to its recent "Grand Slam" of Membership campaign. Some of the members that have joined during this exciting campaign include Cortani & Morrison, Manassas Professional Group, Cruise Planners, AFLAC, Precision Account Services, Orion Marketing, Classic Printing, CDL Academy, Canine Solutions, Lifetime Learning, Staples, Independence Empowerment Center and Uniplus Consultants, Inc. Kenneth J. Sertic, President of Precision Account Services was very pleased with his initial Chamber event. "I not only saved a year's worth of shoe leather by attending the New Member Orientation and networking with a room full of members at one sitting, I made a fantastic contact that will more than justify my investment. I'm very glad to be a member!" Prospective members were invited to 'join the winning team' and participate in three events on their way to membership. The 'first base' event, a Business After Hours sponsored by Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian, resulted in one new member that very evening and several others in close succession.

The room was packed full of members and prospective members networking during the event.
'Second base' was
a luncheon at the Battlefield Inn Best Western that featured Mr.
Mark Earley, Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia, who spoke
eloquently on the value of mentoring our youth and the role of businesses and
professionals in providing role models to at risk children. He also touched on
the role of the Attorney General's office in supporting economic development and
the changing economy relative

The 'Grand Slam' concluded with the 'Third Base' Event, a New Member Orientation sponsored by Rob Sturm, Scott & Stringfellow. A record number of new members to the chamber as well as prospective members enjoyed a session on "Chamber 101: How to Maximize the Benefits of Membership."
