When someone volunteers for a committee, they are considered a treasure to the Chamber. Mike O’Brien not only volunteers as part of a committee, but is also available any time someone needs a helping hand. A member of the Community Relations Committee, Mike went above and beyond the call of duty for the Cuisine de Commerce. He spent a good deal of time calling food service members about exhibiting. The day of the luncheon he busied himself helping with set-up and assisting vendors, helping to make this year’s Cuisine de Commerce the great success it was.
Robin Cyrtmus is one of those unheralded people who have been quietly working behind the scenes on behalf of the Greater Chamber. With her help, the Chamber’s recent Holiday Silent Auction Luncheon evoked the spirit of the season, which greatly contributed to its success. Robin was responsible for the centerpieces (which she worked on with Richey’s Florists) as well as ornaments on the money tree. In addition, she spent countless hours securing donations from members and was on hand to help set up for the event. In her role as an ambassador, Robin represents the Chamber at events and in the community and as a mentor, she helps new members get involved in the Chamber. |
