Director of Campus Relations
George Mason University
Prince William Campus
Hello Fellow Members,
As I embark on my second quarter serving as your chairman, I am reminded of the reason I became an active member of the Prince William County– Greater Manassas Chamber. This Chamber answers a need for its members. In addition to the obvious promotion of members through the printed and on-line directories, it offers many other valuable benefits that serve each one of us.
Our Chamber is made up of like-minded people who realize that through Chamber membership, they can accomplish together what no one person or business can do alone. When we became a member of the Greater Chamber, we became part of one of the state’s largest coalitions of businesses.
Together, we work to foster growth in the Prince William, Manassas and Manassas Park economy, creating a better business climate and a higher quality of life.
Our Chamber is proud of the many programs and initiatives we provide that promote business. We also partner with other Chambers to provide additional exposure for our members.
We are preparing for our traditionally sold-out Connections tradeshow that is free and open to the general public on the afternoon of October 22 at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center.
We educate our members through the Brown Bag Seminar Series and other events throughout the year. In addition, our Economic Development, Legislative, Education and other committees provide additional educational activities and events.
We provide a community calendar of events and announcements through our News & Events Wire –a useful marketing tool for member organizations. This FREE tool is so easy to use, even I have used it. And if I can figure out how to use it, so can you. I urge you to use it to promote your company or organization.
As your Chairman, I am awed by how many members continue to give back to the community by supporting the Chamber’s scholarships, Agnes Colgan Community Service Awards, Making It Real Financial Literacy program, National Young Readers Day, School Supply Drive, Winter Warm-Up and FBLA Speed Networking event, to name just a few.
